Various major highways of the country have been completely blocked (with details)
Kathmandu. Major highways and road sections in various states of the country have been completely blocked due to incessant rains, floods and landslides. Nepal Police has issued an updated update till 7 am today (Tuesday) requesting commuters to remain alert and use alternative routes.
The Kanti Highway has been completely obstructed due to a landslide that occurred at Bhatte Danda of Bagmati Rural Municipality-3 in Lalitpur on August 30.
Night vehicular movement has been banned on the Khurkot-Nepalthok-Katunjebesi section of the BP Highway. Vehicles will be banned from 6 pm to 4 am. Vehicles will be allowed to operate only after assessing the situation during the afternoon.
The Trishuli-Mailung-Syafrubesi road section has been completely obstructed due to floods at Khalte of Uttargaya rural municipality-5 in Rasuwa district. Other major highways in the district have also been completely blocked since August 26 due to floods.
