Surkhet. The Karnali Province government has decided to provide two crore rupees to the Prime Minister Natural Disaster Relief Fund for the relief, rescue, rehabilitation and reconstruction of damaged structures of the people affected by the Bhotekoshi floods in Rasuwa.
A meeting of the Karnali Province Council of Ministers held today decided to contribute the amount to the Prime Minister Natural Disaster Relief Fund for relief and rescue as well as rehabilitation, reconstruction and disaster management in the flood-affected areas.
The meeting also decided to approve the ‘Education Sector Plan 2083-2092’ targeting the long-term improvement and development of the education sector. The cabinet meeting approved the plan prepared by the Ministry of Social Development.
Following the decision of the Council of Ministers, the Karnali government has decided to provide financial assistance for relief and rehabilitation of the people affected by inter-state disaster on the one hand and on the other hand, it will forward a long-term plan for the education sector of the province for the next decade. Earlier, the Karnali Province government had made a public appeal to the Prime Minister Natural Disaster Relief Fund and Prime Minister Relief Fund for assistance in the aftermath of the floods in Rasuwa.
