Kathmandu.” Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Biraj Bhakta Shrestha has said that the first priority of the government is to rescue the people trapped in the tunnel of the Rasuwa flood-affected hydropower projects.
Minister Shrestha said that the state has taken all possible measures for the rescue of those trapped in the tunnel of the Rasuwagadhi Hydropower Project at the Ministry and the officials of the project board of directors at the ministry. Stating that the problem of those trapped in the tunnel is not only the property of the victim’s family but also the manpower of the state, he said that the state has lost a lot of manpower. “We are still feeling the responsibility of whether something will happen, if someone is waiting,” he said. “But this catastrophe has come in such a way that it is not imaginable, but I want to assure that the state government is with you.” “
The Prime Minister has also said that there will be no shortage of resources and what should be done. Minister Shrestha directed the government to be active in disseminating information from today itself.
He said that hearing this will reassure the victim’s family that something is happening. The board should have dedicated and contacted every victim’s family 24 hours a day. They are not looking for anything. They are looking for the truth. What hurts me is that this is not flowing to other families as well,” he said.
He said that the CEO of every company should communicate with the victim’s family. Minister Shrestha said that it is difficult to transport equipment due to the lack of helicopters.
