Kathmandu. Vehicular movement has been affected after a portion of the road collapsed in the leafy forest near Nagdhunga along the Prithvi Highway. After some sections of the road collapsed this morning, arrangements have been made to allow one-way movement of petroleum vehicles and two-wheelers from the same place.
According to the Department of
Roads, all other vehicles will be sent through the Nagdhunga tunnel. A technical team of the department has been mobilized for on-site inspection of the submerged road and necessary technical study. After the study, the transport service will be fully restored soon after carrying out necessary maintenance, the department said.
Due to the condition of the road and the maintenance work, the vehicles traveling on this section have to use alternative routes and tunnels.
