Preparations to send 100 truckloads of LP gas daily from Hetauda to Kathmandu after the closure of the Prithvi Highway

Kathmandu. The Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies has started the arrangement of dispatching 100 truckloads of LP gas daily from Hetauda to Kathmandu Valley through alternative road until the Prithvi Highway comes into full operation.

The Ministry informed that this provision has been implemented from Thursday and the supply of gas will continue through alternative routes. The Ministry has claimed that the gas shortage seen in the Kathmandu Valley will be gradually resolved in the next few days due to continuous coordination with Nepal Oil Corporation and LP Gas Entrepreneurs.

According to the Ministry, all necessary initiatives have been taken to make the gas supply smooth, regular and effective so that the daily life of ordinary consumers is not further affected during the difficult situation of disaster.

The Ministry has expressed sorrow over the loss of life and property due to the devastating floods in the Bhotekoshi River and floods and landslides in different parts of the country. It also wished speedy recovery to the injured and affected people.

4. After this, the highway was completely closed due to the collapse of the road in Krishnabhir area. The ministry has also clarified that the government was committed to not to ensure any shortage of LP gas which is linked to the basic needs of the citizens.
