Power supply restored to 90 per cent in Nuwakot
Kathmandu. Power supply has been restored in more areas of Nuwakot district after the Chapali-Devighat right circuit was charged. At present, electricity has been restored in about 90 percent of the district, while the supply stability and voltage quality have also improved.
The areas charged recently include Bidur-6, the remaining areas of Bidur-12, about half of Bidur-3, Ward No. 1, 3, 5 and 6 of Tarakeshwor Rural Municipality. There are 1, 2, 3, 5 and 6 and Belkotgadhi-7. Along with this, 31 more transformers have also been charged.
The remaining half of Bidur-3, Tarkeshwor-4, Kispang Rural Municipality, Belkotgadhi-8 and Bidur-10 are still to be restored as power supply. Charging and power supply restoration works are underway in these areas as well. There are 66 KV transmission lines in Nuwakot for the supply of electricity. Electricity is being supplied to about half of Bidur and Kispang by crossing the Trishuli River through the 66 KV Chapali-Devighat-1 circuit. Similarly, electricity is being supplied to most parts of Bidur, Battar and surrounding areas from 66 KV Chapali-Devighat-2.
66 kV Balaju-Trishuli-1 is supplying electricity to Dhunche, Naukunda Rural Municipality and Kalika Rural Municipality of Rasuwa via Kalika Substation. Power is being supplied from 66 kV Balaju-Trishuli-2 to the entire area of Choghada substation and Samundratar substation area. With the restoration of about 90 percent of the electricity system, the supply situation in Nuwakot has become stable and reliable as before.
