A meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Thursday afternoon took the decision in this regard, government spokesperson and Education Minister Sasmit Pokharel said.
According to him, the government is observing the day of mourning on the 13th day of the incident as a mark of respect to those who lost their lives in the floods.
He said that it has been decided to observe a national mourning on September 22. On that day, it has also been decided to fly the Nepali flag at half-mast at government offices across Nepal and Nepali embassies and missions abroad.
