Flying of small and unauthorised drones in flood-affected areas will be stopped, confiscated if they refuse

Kathmandu. The Ministry of Home Affairs has urged everyone not to fly small and unauthorized drones in flood-affected areas.

The Ministry has issued this directive to make the search, rescue and relief operations in the disaster-hit areas safe, systematic and effective. According to the Ministry, only authorized drones with a payload capacity of up to 100 kg used for transporting relief materials and relocating dead bodies will be allowed to fly in the affected areas.

Apart from this, any other small or private drone flights have been completely banned.

If drones are found to be flown without permission, an anti-drone team will be activated and such equipment will be immediately seized and seized, the ministry said. The Home Minister has appealed to all citizens and stakeholders to strictly follow this important information keeping in view the sensitivity of the rescue team and aviation safety.
