In addition, works are underway to construct a temporary access road to transport large machines and high-capacity equipment to the mouth of the tunnel.
The doctors accompanying the Indian team have also set up a health camp for the locals.
The health check-up of the locals was carried out and necessary health materials and services were provided in the camp.
Indian Ambassador Srivastava wrote on X, “The Indian tunnel rescue team along with the Nepal Army yesterday worked deeper into the Chilime Tunnel and drained the water. A temporary route is also being constructed to transport more heavy equipment to the tunnel. The doctors accompanying the team have set up health camps for the local community. “
Meanwhile, the local residents have suffered huge loss of life and property after the floods. The floods have swept away houses and structures, causing major damage to critical infrastructure and a large number of local residents are still missing.

The work of installing new electric poles, repairing the damaged transmission line and rebuilding other infrastructure is going on. Local people are also cooperating in this work.
