A woman rescued alive from Betrawati is undergoing treatment at Chhauni Hospital. On the 11th day of the devastating floods in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa, a woman has been rescued alive from Betrawati Bazaar in Nuwakot.
A team of Armed Police Force and Nepal Police rescued 64-year-old Chandrika Shrestha of Bidur Municipality-10 in Nuwakot on Saturday. She was brought to Chhauni Hospital in Kathmandu by an army helicopter, according to APF central spokesperson Narendra Bahadur Karki.
“We rescued 64-year-old Chandrika Shrestha and brought her to Chhauni Hospital for treatment. Doctors are assessing her health condition,” he said.
A team led by Inspector Suman BK of the Armed Police Force (APF) found Shrestha in an unconscious state.
The rescue of survivors even after 11 days of the Bhotekoshi floods has added another ray of hope to the rescue operation.
