Foreign Minister Khanal and Foreign Minister of Maldives Adam held a telephone conversation on climate justice and cooperation
Kathmandu. Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal and Foreign Minister of Maldives Irrouthisham Adam held a telephone conversation on Monday afternoon.
During the talks, Foreign Minister Adam expressed deep sorrow over the tragic situation in Nepal and expressed heartfelt condolences and solidarity to the Government and people of Nepal. On the occasion, Foreign Minister Khanal extended his heartfelt gratitude to the Maldivian government and people for their goodwill, solidarity and support at this difficult time. On the occasion, the foreign ministers of the two countries had extensive discussions on common challenges faced by countries at high risk of climate change. In the phone conversation, he pledged to raise a strong voice for climate justice in regional and multilateral forums and to advance effective climate action plans.
