Dugar Group donates Rs 1.11 crore to flood victims

On the occasion of the National Day of Mourning on Monday, the thirteenth day of the incident, MV Dugar handed over the amount to Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle. MV Dugar Group Chairman Motilal Dugad, Vice Chairman Vivek Dugar and Director Shubham Dugar jointly handed over the cheque to the Finance Minister.

M. V. A total of Rs 1.11 crore was deposited in the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund through Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle, including voluntary financial assistance from the employees of Dugar Group and Automobiles Division, said Motilal Dugar, chairman of the group.

Expressing concern over climate change and global warming being the main factors in this catastrophic disaster, Dugad said that the group has been conducting a tree plantation program across the country for the past five years. According to him, more than 300,000 saplings have been planted in the forest area and more than

25,000 saplings of improved species have been planted in the forest area and more than 6 kilometers of highway section, various schools, police offices and APF offices. He also pledged that the group and its staff will continue to work together to reduce the impact of global warming.

Receiving the cheque given by the

group, Finance Minister Wagle said that the support and cooperation of the private sector during the disaster has further strengthened the government. He also said that the government has left no stone unturned in disaster management.

National and international support is being collected for the rescue, relief and reconstruction of the people affected by the Bhotekoshi floods. This amount is the largest amount made by the Dugar Group from the private sector of Nepal. MV Dugar Group is the largest private sector power producer in Nepal. The group has also informed that after this, the security personnel deployed in the flood-affected areas will distribute relief.
