Naima donates Rs 50 lakh to Rasuwa flood victims

Kathmandu. Nepal Automobile Importers and Manufacturers Association (NAIMA) has provided Rs 5 million for the relief, rescue and rehabilitation of the flood-affected communities in Rasuwa.

The amount was handed over to Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle. A team led by NAIMA President Ritu Singh Vaidya handed over the donation.

Mr. Yamuna Shrestha & Mr. Hemanta Golchha, Board Members of NIMA, Mr. Sahil Shrestha, CEO of Cimex Inc., Mr. Raj Kumar Dulal, Executive Director of NIMA, Mr. Gyanu Adhikari, Program Coordinator Mr. Gyanu Adhikari and Mr. Utsav Karki of NIMA Digital Agency were present during the program. Handing over the assistance, President Vaidya said that although the amount is comparatively small, the main objective of the fund is to express solidarity and support to the affected communities during the time of disaster. She also expressed her commitment to stand with the government and affected communities during the time of crisis and disaster, noting that the support has been extended by the automobile importers and manufacturers of Nepal, including NIMA’s member companies.

“This is not only financial assistance but also a message of solidarity that we are with the affected communities in difficult times,” Vaidya said. Receiving the donation, Finance Minister Dr. Wagle appreciated the support provided by the LBS. He said that such assistance received in the sensitive and difficult time of the disaster is very valuable.
