Industry Minister Sah assumes office
Kathmandu Newly appointed Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Deepak Kumar Sah has assumed office. He took charge amidst a program organized at the Ministry on Thursday evening.
Talking to the media after taking charge of the ministry, Minister Sah said that new programs will be finalized only after reviewing the past work and experiences of the ministry. He said that it would be relevant to know what works have been done in the past before starting any new scheme. Minister Saha clarified that his first priority was to sit with the outgoing ministers and hold in-depth discussions on the policies and programmes of the ministry.
“It will be easier to work if we move forward with information about what has happened in the past before carrying out any work,” Minister Sah said, “Therefore, I have requested the secretary of the ministry to create an environment for a meeting with the former minister. We will come up with new programs only after sitting with him for two to four hours and holding intensive discussions.” Minister Sah said that the ministry would be fully committed to fulfilling the needs and aspirations of the people. He said that the work of the ministry would be made effective with the main motto of ‘nation first’.
Minister Sah expressed his respect to the secretary and all the employees of the ministry and said that he expected positive cooperation from all in the coming days. He also expressed his gratitude to the voters of his constituency Sunsari Constituency No. 4, all the citizens across the country, the party leadership and the honorable Prime Minister.
