Father: Hero who keeps his dreams alive

Kathmandu. Today is the day to look at the face of a father. Heartfelt salute to all those fathers who are the biggest support in their life, the person who understands a lot without speaking, the one who never gets tired for his children even when he is tired.
The word ‘father’ is a world in itself. Where there is love, but there is no show. Where there is worry, but there is no complaint. Where there are dreams, but not for oneself, but for children.
Mother’s love is often heard in words, father’s love is seen as a responsibility. Whether it is waking up early in the morning and going to work or returning home late at night, there is fatigue on the father’s face, but the smile does not disappear in front of the children. When we were young, we learned to walk holding the father’s finger. It was only as we grew older that we began to understand that the hand holding that finger was also handling our future.
A small toy bought by our father in our childhood used to give us the greatest happiness in the world. Today, we are able to buy expensive things ourselves, but the time to sit close to our father and talk openly for two minutes is getting lost somewhere.
Many people’s workplaces are far away from their birthplace. Some are in Nepal, some are abroad. We are running to build our future. But sometimes the question arises in our mind, are we not forgetting the struggle of our father who dedicated his life to building that future?
Sometimes Dad scolded us, we thought Dad was harsh. Sometimes we could not fulfill our wishes, we thought, father did not understand us. But time gradually taught us that father was not harsh, he was trying to keep us safe by fighting the situation.
It is not that He has not been able to fulfill our desires, but that He has given up many of His desires to fulfill our desires.
Father’s life is also a story that we understand very late. In that story, he had his own dreams, desires, desires. But the responsibility of the family gradually pushed those dreams back. For our books, our studies, our clothes, our needs, and our future, Dad gave up many of his desires.
The person who is happiest when we succeed is the father. But he is never the person who asks for credit for our success. Perhaps this is the most beautiful characteristic of a father. He teaches his children to fly, but he never seeks credit for the sky he has created.
Perhaps a father never seeks great things from his children. Our time, a few words, and a small conversation with him are more than an expensive gift. While we are running to build the future, let us think for a moment whether his present is not lonely.
The irony of the time is that when we were young, father did not have time, because he was busy making our future. Today, when we grow up, we do not have time for our father, because we are busy building our own future. In the midst of this race, let’s not forget the sacrifice and waiting of our father.
Because one day we may have all the time, money, and world, but when we call ‘Dad’, we may not have that voice to answer. So if Dad is with us, let’s hold his hand today, talk for a while and feel, we have not forgotten the love he gave us throughout our lives.
Today is the day to see the father’s face. Some fathers are at home. Some have fathers abroad. Some are in a hospital bed. And some of their fathers are not in this world. But his memory, the values he taught and the path he showed will always be alive in the hearts of the children.
Look at your father’s face today. Look at the white lines on the hair, look at the wrinkles on the face, those wrinkles are not just a sign of age, they are the stories of countless sorrows, struggles and sacrifices we have spent for us.
With time, the father’s body becomes weak. The father, who carried us on his shoulders yesterday, sometimes has to walk holding our hands today. So, if the father is with us, do not just look at his face today, but also look at his mind.
Give us the little time that He has sought from us throughout our lives. Sit close and talk, hold His hand, and say, ‘Father, you are there, so my world is still full.’
Because father is not just a relationship. The father is the silent sky of the house, which itself gives shade to the children even after enduring the sun and rain.
I cannot describe my love for my father in words. But I want to be with you at every stage of life. I want to be a rest when you are tired. I want to be a cause of happiness when you are sad. And if one day tears fall from your eyes, I want to be a soft handkerchief to wipe those tears.
No matter how far life takes us, no matter how busy time makes us, that childhood that father showed the world by holding hands when we were young will never be far from the hearts of our children. Yesterday, when we were young, our father held hands and showed us the world. Now it is our turn to hold our father’s weakening hands and walk the rest of our journey together.
Father, you have given up so many dreams for the sake of children, hidden a lot of sorrow and always made our smiles bigger than your own pain. Today I have no big gift to give you. I have a promise, I will try not to let the tears come to your eyes, even if it comes, I will wipe those tears before they fall.
Because father, you are that shadow of my life, whose real value is known only when the sun comes out. Heartfelt respect to all those fathers who have fought for their children all their lives, put their dreams on hold and made the future of their children and hide their pain and bring a smile on their children’s faces.
