Ritualistic unilateral convention has no meaning: Leader Shahi
Kathmandu. Nepali Congress leader Bhupendra Jung Shahi has stressed that the party’s 15th general convention should be a unity convention and not a split.
Making his views public through social media on Friday, he said that the unity general convention would have meaning only when all sides move ahead by forging consensus and collaboration for party unity, abandoning arrogance and arrogance. Leader Shahi also claimed that there would be no meaning of holding the general convention unilaterally without ensuring the participation and impartiality of all sides in the general convention.
“The general convention is a festival, a celebration and an opportunity for leadership change. But the decision to ban the district leaders who have been waiting for years to change the leadership in the district convention and to stop holding the state convention is undemocratic and a direct violation of the statute,” he said. Therefore, just as the party captured the special general convention by holding paper conventions in a hurry without hurriedly holding the district and provincial conventions, there is no point in gathering only the people of one’s faction and making a fuss for a few days. ‘
Similarly, instead of holding a unity convention by bringing everyone into consensus, leader Shahi arbitrarily beating the drum of ritualistic conventions is to make the Nepali Congress weaker, more fragmented, fragmented and end the history of the Congress that has survived till date. ‘
Meanwhile, the establishment faction of the Nepali Congress has already released the new schedule of the lower level conventions for the 15th Central Congress.
The new schedule has been made public by postponing the ward convention scheduled for September 24.
According to the new schedule, the date of the first phase of the second phase of the general convention has been fixed by keeping the date of the central convention from October 16 to 19. Similarly, the other side has also started the process of holding a separate general convention.
