Kathmandu. Chairperson of the Law, Justice and Human Rights Parliamentary Committee, Samikshya Baskota, has said that the achievements made in the law will not be realized until it is implemented.

Addressing the second national conference and convention of Dalit Law Students Society here today, Baskota said that although the rights in the law are guaranteed, its effective implementation is an important issue.

“We may have made various legal achievements in the society, but the main issue is whether those achievements have actually been implemented or not,” she said, “We will not be able to feel the achievements written in letters until they go to the implementation level.” “

She said that transformation is necessary from the society and the family to end discrimination and that we should also be serious about how prepared they are for it.

Baskota said that in the name of making the new generation aware of discrimination, we should think about whether to continue teaching the discrimination of the past or develop a new mindset to end it.

‘Those who have not seen discrimination with their own eyes, we are teaching them that there is discrimination in the society. The time has come to think about whether it is a need of the society or to make the new generation aware that this is the system,” she said.
