Lamps lit in memory of those killed in Bhotekoshi floods

Kathmandu. The nationalist civil society has organized a condolence meeting with the lighting of lamps in memory of those who lost their lives in the devastating floods in Rasuwa.

The lamps were lit at Asanchowk in Kathmandu on Saturday to pay tribute to the devastating people who lost their lives in the devastating floods in Rasuwa on August 24. The participants of the program paid tribute to the departed soul by lighting lamps, wishing for eternal peace.

Chandra Bahadur Ramdam, central president of the Nationalist Civil Society, said that the program has been organized to pay tribute to the people who lost their lives in the floods and to express condolences to the bereaved families. Talking to media persons, Chairman Ramdam said that a condolence meeting and lamp was lit in memory of the deceased due to the huge loss of life due to the massive floods in Rasuwa on August 24. “We wish eternal peace to the departed souls and would like to pay our heartfelt tributes to them and express condolences to the bereaved families,” he said.

President Ramdam stressed on the need to rise above party, caste, religion and region to support the people in their suffering. He said that it was the duty of every Nepali to support and help another human being in their grief when one human being is lost.

Expressing sorrow over the loss of lives and property due to floods in Rasuwa, Dhading and Nuwakot, Ramdam said the nationalist civil society was with the families of the victims in their grief.

‘We are deeply saddened by the loss of property and property in Rasuwa, Dhading and Nuwakot. The nationalist civil society organized a condolence meeting in Basantapur today in memory of the departed souls,” he said.
