Kathmandu. A joint team of the Nepal Army has intensified search, rescue and relief operations in various disaster-hit areas. According to the information till 6:30 pm today, the Army has so far rescued a total of 4,157 people from various Bhotekoshi flood-affected areas through air. Among the rescued, 3,874 are domestic and 283 are foreign nationals.
A joint team of domestic and foreign experts has been carrying out search for hydropower projects, especially in Rasuwa and Nuwakot.
A joint team of ‘Composite Quick Reaction Team’ and foreign experts is conducting the search. Although a joint team had deployed drones inside the tunnel in Langtang for the search, no such person has been found so far.
Excavators and dodgers have been used to remove the silt and debris accumulated in the Chilime tunnel. So far, about 85 meters have been cleaned and a tuin is being installed nearby to cross the river. Nepal Army and representatives of the project have jointly launched a search operation at Upper Trishuli-1. The team has continued the search operation in the Trishuli-3 ‘A’ powerhouse and tunnel area.
Three excavators and a backhoe loader have been excavated at Trishuli-3 ‘B’.

,900 personnel of the Nepal Army have been deployed directly in the affected areas from Timure of Rasuwa to Nuwakot, Dhading, Chitwan and Nawalparasi (East). The team is providing rescue, dead body management, transportation of relief materials, road opening and emergency medical treatment of the injured.
