Jomsom Bazaar is being decorated like a bride
Kathmandu. The entire municipality, including Jomsom, the headquarters of the trans-Himalayan district of Mustang, has a different excitement with the preparations for the Gharpajhong Climate Conference-2083. All the villagers have fulfilled their responsibilities as per the instructions of the municipality.
All the people’s representatives, including the chairman of the rural municipality, Mohan Singh Lalchan, are busy in the management of the conference to be organized by Gharpajhong Rural Municipality. The employees of the rural municipality are also busy preparing for the program by taking up their responsibilities.
Even the Chief Administrative Officer of the rural municipality was seen transporting goods in tempos from the rural municipality to the covered hall. Not only the people’s representatives and employees, but also the local residents of Gharpajhong Rural Municipality, representatives of various villages, members of groups and clubs were busy throughout the day in setting up lunga, building welcome gates and other preparations in their respective villages.
In the evening, people’s representatives from different districts have also started entering Gharpajhong Rural Municipality. Some are staying in hotels and some are staying in homestays, so Jomsom Bazaar and other villages are all filled with guests.
In addition, the beauty of the market has increased further after the European style street lights with the shape of apples in Jomsom, Marfa and Syang have started to burn. The twinkling lights in the Phalcha built with the help of Lalitpur Metropolitan City within the rural municipality have attracted the guests, participants and other visitors coming to Gharpajhong.
The Jomsom market, decorated with cleanliness, decorations, reception gates, and lungta, looks like a bride dressed up for marriage at this time. The enthusiasm of the locals, the activism of the people’s representatives and the arrival of the guests have created a different vibrancy in Jomsom.
Jomsom Bazaar, adorned amidst the natural beauty of Mustang, is indicating the grandeur of the Gharpajhong Climate Conference that begins tomorrow.
