After the arrest warrant was issued, the police were preparing to take Sharma into custody on Wednesday. However, after getting information about the preparations for the arrest, Sharma went out of contact, sources said. Sharma is said to have left the office after asking the bank’s human resources (HR) department to write an email about force leave.
Kedar Singh, senior officer Subodh Joshi and deputy manager Rabindra KC have been named as defendants in the case filed by Anjali International.
According to the chargesheet, a loan of Rs 3,89,94,000 was sanctioned by the then Sunrise Bank for Anjali International. However, the company filed a case of fraud and criminal breach of trust against the then officials of the bank, claiming that the loan amount was not received even after auctioning the collateral.
