Robot chefs in southwest China’s Sichuan are winning the hearts of customers. Robots in restaurants there are preparing various dishes on their own without human help.
These robots add ingredients to the dish, stir and add spices. The dishes made by robots in restaurants are also very tasty.
‘It tastes like cooked at home. The local people prepare dishes according to their tastes,’ said a businessman.
The robotic machine, the founder of the robot company, has been upgraded with AI capabilities.
It can record the chef’s cooking methods and processes and repeat them to an accuracy of plus or minus 0.1 units.
Zheng Haotian, founder of the Cooking Robot Company in Chengdu City, says, “The new model has become more intelligent. It can actually do the cooking work automatically. At the press of a button, it automatically adds ingredients, cooks, decorates the plate, and cleans the wok — that is, the whole process from start to finish.” According to the founder, such products are being used in everything from fast-food chains to small family and local stores.
This year, the company has delivered 6,000 units to customers in 14 countries and territories. (CCTVplus)
