Kathmandu. Entrepreneur and social worker Khuma Prasad Aryal has announced his candidacy for the post of central member of the Nepali Congress in the 15th General Convention of the Nepali Congress.
Aryal, a permanent resident of Syangja constituency-2 who has been active in politics and social sectors since his student days, announced his candidacy with the agenda of establishing experience in financial management, entrepreneurship, education, health and agriculture in the party. Aryal, who started his political career from the Nepal Students Union (NSU), is known as a diligent and responsible person in the Nepali Congress since his youth. Aryal, who is also a candidate for the Constituent Assembly (CA) from the Nepali Congress, has successfully fulfilled the responsibility of acting treasurer and financial coordinator of the Nepali Congress.
Professionally, Aryal is one of the senior chartered accountants of Nepal. He started his professional journey by providing professional services to the big industries and business establishments of the country through Aryal & Aryal Chartered Accountants.
Aryal, who has a special interest in the development of education and health sector, has made significant investments in various medical colleges with the aim of providing quality medical education in Nepal. He is one of the major investors in Bhairahawa Medical College (UCMS), Gandaki Medical College, Pokhara, Nepalgunj Medical College, Lord Buddha Medical College Nepalgunj and Sanjivani Medical College, Dang. The main basis of his investment is to make Nepal a hub of medical education by ending the compulsion of Nepali students to go abroad for medical education.
Similarly, Aryal has also made a significant contribution to the modernization of the agricultural sector. He has invested in various agricultural projects with the goal of transforming the traditional and subsistence farming system into a modern agricultural system in Nepal.
Aryal, who has established a modern poultry farm in Syangja, has established Nepal’s first state-of-the-art layers farm in Janakpur, which is said to have a capacity of about 8 lakh 50 thousand chickens. He is also actively involved in various projects in the agriculture sector, including the feed factory in Hetauda.
Aryal is also on a campaign to establish international level schools in the field of education, and has also expanded his investment in hydropower and other productive sectors. He has established himself as a successful entrepreneur and employer by providing direct employment to more than 10,000 people through investments made in various sectors.
Aryal has been running various social programs in various districts of the country including Syangja through the Khuma Aryal Foundation.
