15 committees formed for the Congress General Convention
Kathmandu. The Nepali Congress has formed 15 different committees to organize the 15th General Convention in a systematic manner.
Party President Gagan Kumar Thapa is the coordinator of the party’s central directive committee. The committee comprises Vice-President Bishwa Prakash Sharma, Pushpa Bhusal, General Secretary Pradip Poudel, Gururaj Ghimire, Treasurer Umesh Shrestha and other central members. Chief Political Advisor Pratap Poudel has been appointed as the member-secretary. Similarly, Umesh Shrestha has been appointed as the coordinator of the financial management committee, Devraj Chalise as the coordinator of the Information, Communication and Technology Committee and Jeevan Bhandari as the head of the media center. Uday Shumsher Rana has been appointed as the coordinator of the Secretariat Management and Information Coordination Committee, Joint General Secretary Dr. Dila Sangraula has been appointed as the coordinator of the Guest Reception Committee. The responsibility has been given to the Kathmandu District President as the coordinator of the General Convention Venue Management Committee. Joint General Secretary Bahadur Singh Lama is the coordinator of the Provincial and Local Level Coordination Committee, Sudhir Shiwakoti is the coordinator of the Senior General Convention Representative Coordination Committee and central member Ganesh Lama is the coordinator of the Volunteer Management Committee. Similarly, Tilak Ranabhat has been appointed as the coordinator of the food management committee, Ramesh Prasad Dhamala in the housing management committee, Dr. Kedar Narsingh KC in the health committee. Kedar Narsingh KC, Bijay Bahadur Swar in the transport management committee and central member Sita Gurung have been given the responsibility of coordinator of the cultural-literary coordination committee. The party has added central member Ishwori Neupane and advocate Pramis Khanal as additional members to the statute drafting committee. The party has stated that responsibilities have been allocated according to various sectors to conduct the general convention in a systematic, effective and smooth manner.
