Kathmandu. Nepali Congress leader Dr Minendra Rijal, who had filed his candidacy for the post of vice-president in the party’s 15th general convention, has said that he has filed his candidacy to form a united NC by linking the party’s 80-year-old history with new energy.
“I should move forward by combining the experience I have and the energy shown by my friends. The party lost the March 21 election due to weak party unity. At this time, the party needs energy, for that my candidacy is mine,” he said.
Dr Rijal also announced to make the party popular and the first party in the coming days, saying that the party should be united with the confluence of energy and experience of the party.
He was elected as the general convention representative from Morang-2 and filed his candidacy for the post of vice-president on Tuesday.
