The 15th general convention of the Nepali Congress (NC) will elect a new central working committee from 10 am on Thursday.

255 delegates will vote to elect the next leadership of the Nepali Congress.

Bahadur Khadka, who is also the coordinator of the Central Election Committee, said that although the voting has been announced from 7:00 am on Thursday, it has been delayed by three hours due to rain and some technical reasons.
According to him, seven polling stations have been designated in three places of Kathmandu for voting. For the convenience of the representatives, separate polling stations have been arranged on the basis of province and representation.
The Election Committee has designated polling stations at the National Assembly Hall, Khula Manch and Pragya Bhavan. Arrangements have been made for the representatives of Bagmati Province to vote in the National Assembly Hall.
Similarly, representatives of Koshi, Madhes, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces will vote in Khula Manch. Arrangements have also been made for those who have become general convention representatives from sister and well-wisher organizations and public relations committees, according to the election committee.
Polling stations have been set up at Pragya Bhawan for the representatives of Gandaki and Lumbini provinces. The representatives of the respective provinces and groups will have to go to the designated polling station and vote.
According to election committee coordinator Khadka, voting will begin at 10 am. Voting can be done only after verifying the identity of the representatives and voters’ list during the voting.
