This general convention will bring changes in policy and thinking: Bhishma Raj Angdembe
Kathmandu. Nepali Congress leader Bhishma Raj Angdembe has said that the 15th general convention of the Nepali Congress was the historic one so far. Speaking at the closing ceremony of the closed session of the general convention, Angdembe said that he was surprised by the party’s policy, principles and future course of action in this general convention.
‘I have never seen any discussion on policy, principles and future course of action in the previous closed sessions. Therefore, this is a new general convention of the Congress for me as well,” he said, “I hope that it will also bring a change in the policies and thinking of the Congress.” He said that the presence of leaders of various political parties in the inaugural session of the general convention has shown the role of the Nepali Congress to guide the politics of the country.
“The political parties that attended the inaugural session are proof that the NC is the main direction of the country’s politics,” he said.
Angdembe claimed that the trust of all age groups in the Congress has increased. According to him, people of all age groups, including 18-year-olds, have joined the party in the past.
“Earlier, the Congress was called the party of the elderly. But today it has become a party full of 18-year-old boys and girls,” he said, “Today there are so many people in the Congress. This party has been established as a party trusted by all age groups.” Commenting on the political situation in the country, he accused those who came to power through ‘algorithms’ in the name of majority were trying to take the country in the wrong direction.
“Today, those who have come to power in the name of majority in the country through algorithms are taking the country in the direction of building Ukraine,” he said, “Now this hall should rely on this leadership. The country will be built from here.” “
Angdembe said that the leadership elected from the general convention should take the party forward with new policies, ideas and political line.
