Various highways affected due to floods and landslides
Kathmandu. Various major highways and road sections across the country have been affected due to floods and landslides.
According to the details made public by Nepal Police, the road has been completely obstructed due to landslides at several places and only one-way traffic has come into operation.
All the main highways have been completely blocked due to the floods. These roads have been closed until further notice.
KATHMANDU: One-way traffic has come into operation following a landslide at Khatripauwa of Dhunibeshi municipality-09 along the Tribhuvan Highway. The Beni-Jomsom road section has been completely obstructed after a landslide occurred at Baisari of Raghuganga Rural Municipality-02 at 05:50 am on September 26.
The road has been opened one-way due to landslides in Baudikali Rural Municipality-03 under the Kaligandaki Corridor. There is no situation for heavy vehicles to pass. The road section leading from Besisahar to Khangsar is currently in operation only due to floods.
Vehicular movement along the East-West Highway has been halted after landslides occurred at Chorkhola and Bankasbas areas of Shivaraj Municipality-1.
