End of an era in Bollywood: Co-stars mourn the death of Nana Patekar
After the death of Nana Patekar, his co-stars and Bollywood actors have expressed grief and remembered him as an exceptional actor and inspirational personality.
75-year-old Patekar died of a heart attack at his residence in Mumbai at 5:20 am on Thursday. According to Dr. Shekhar Salkar, head of the oncology department of Manipal Hospital. According to Shekhar Salkar, after the heart attack, he was given CPR for 45 minutes. However, he could not be saved. Actor Riteish Deshmukh, who worked with Patekar in ‘Bluffmaster’ and ‘Housefull 5’, said that he is speechless with the news of Patekar’s death. He has paid tribute to Patekar as an extraordinary actor who can play any kind of role.
Deshmukh remembered Patekar as a ‘hero’ not only on screen but also off the screen. According to him, Patekar worked continuously for the welfare of the people through his philanthropic work.
Actor Akshay Kumar also expressed grief over Patekar’s death.
Akshay, who worked with him in films like ‘Welcome’ and ‘Housefull 5’, said that there is hardly an actor like him, remembering the voice, intensity and honesty of Patekar’s acting.
Akshay said that he will always cherish his memories of working with Patekar. He called Patekar “one of a kind” actor and paid tribute to his death.
Actor Adil Hussain also said that he finds it difficult to believe the news of Patekar’s death. He said that many actors including him were inspired by Patekar’s performance and wished his soul peace.
Patekar started his acting career in 1978 with ‘Gaman’. He has acted in films like ‘Parinda’, ‘Prahar’, ‘Angar’, ‘Krantiveer’, ‘Tiranga’, ‘Khamoshi’ and ‘Ab Tak Chhappan’.
Patekar, who has performed effectively from serious roles to comic roles, was also active in films in recent times. He was seen in ‘Housefull 5’, starring Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan and Riteish Deshmukh.
Recently, he was seen in Vishal Bhardwaj’s ‘O’Romeo’ along with Shahid Kapoor and Tripti Dimri in the role of a police officer. He also had a special role in ‘Subedar’ starring Anil Kapoor and Radhika Madan.
