Kathmandu. Nepali Congress leader Prakash Man Singh has said that the activities of the party by violating the party’s statute, rules and procedures will weaken the party.
Speaking at the inaugural session of the Nepali Congress Kathmandu Metropolitan City convention on Thursday, Singh said that the dispute in the party should be resolved as per the rules and procedures.
Singh said that the rule of law should be maintained within the Congress party. He said that activities violating the party’s statute and rules should be opposed.
‘What is this party is that there has to be a rule of law within the party. For that reason, why should the Nepali Congress party be weakened in an undemocratic, undemocratic manner by violating the party’s statute and rules and with the help of domestic and foreign elements?
Speaking about the special general convention, Singh claimed that the process was not completed as per the party statute.
He said, “What happened in this special general convention has been approved by the Central Working Committee? It has not happened. Is it that it has been verified according to the rules and regulations? That has not happened. What is the matter is that it is not even on the demand of the Congress, contrary to the tradition of the party and the practice which is ours. This special congress has been organized to divide the Congress on the basis of the aspirations of some individuals and the interests of some forces that undermine nationalism and democracy.
He said that the Central Working Committee elected from the 14th Congress should hold the 15th Congress regularly.
“Now we have decided to hold the 15th general convention on a regular basis with the central working committee of Sher Bahadur Deuba elected from the 14th general convention.
