18 barrels of loaded guns recovered from three places in Surkhet
Surkhet. Police have recovered 18 loaded guns hidden in the jungle at three places of Surkhet.
Acting on a special tip-off, police found the guns in different forests of Chaukune Rural Municipality and Barahatal Rural Municipality. A police team led by Inspector Bhupendra Shahi of Area Police Office, Babiyachaur confiscated five loaded guns from the forest at Sanneghari of Chaukune Rural Municipality-7. Likewise, a team deputed from temporary police post bridle seized 12 barrels from the jungle at Dhamisen of Chaukune rural municipality-1 and a loaded gun from the jungle at Jyamire of Barahatal rural municipality-1. According to the police, the guns recovered from three places have been seized after completing the legal process. Police said that further investigation is underway to find out who had hidden the recovered gun in the forest and for what purpose.
