Kathmandu. The Health Emergency Operation Centre (HEOC) has been activated in view of the major flood in the Budhigandaki River in Chumnubri Rural Municipality of Gorkha and the continuous increase in the river flow.
The Ministry
of Health and Food and Hygiene has said that the center has been activated for preparation and coordination to provide necessary health services, emergency treatment and health assistance in the flood-affected areas.
The Ministry has urged the people living along the banks of the rivers at risk including the Budhigandaki River to adopt high alertness, move from risky places to safer places and take necessary precaution to avoid possible disasters.
