Gorkha. Former Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai has made an on-site inspection of Arughat Bazaar, Shanti Bazaar, and other areas affected by the floods in Budhigandaki River.
On the occasion, Bhattarai held discussions with Gandaki Province Energy Minister Phanindra Devkota, Chief District Officer, Arughat Rural Municipality Chair Raju Gurung, Director General of Department of Roads, people’s representatives and locals. He also urged the authorities concerned to take necessary initiatives for the immediate management and long-term rehabilitation of the flood-affected people. Taking stock of the situation in the flood-affected areas, Bhattarai stressed the need to take necessary steps by coordinating with the stakeholders for the management and rehabilitation of the victims.
