Kathmandu. The Parliamentary Hearing Committee (United) has held discussions with the complainants regarding the complaints against the proposed ambassador to various friendly countries.
In the meeting of the committee, the complainants were invited to know about the complaints received against the proposed ambassadors. According to the committee, seven complaints were received from four against the proposed ambassadors for 13 different friendly countries.
The meeting also discussed the complaints related to proposed ambassador to India Dr. Nischal Nath Pandey, proposed ambassador to China Kalyan Raj Sharma, proposed ambassador to the US Chiranjung Thapa and proposed ambassador to the UK Gaurav Shumsher JB Rana.
Committee Chairman Bodhnarayan Shrestha said that the complainant Ujjwal Krishna Shrestha, who had filed a complaint regarding the proposed ambassador to Japan, Gyan Prasad Thapa, had not come in contact with the committee. Shrestha said that since he was not present, discussions could be held if he came in contact later and his issue has not been processed for the time being. Similarly, the meeting was also informed about the presence of Ramesh Pariyar, who has filed a complaint against Giri Bahadur Sunar, the proposed ambassador to Saudi Arabia.
proposed ambassador to India, Dr. Deepa Bhandari of Australia, who filed the complaint against Nischal Nath Pandey, was informed in the meeting that she could not be present in the committee and requested her to read out her complaint through email. The committee said it would take the contents of his emails into the record.
The issue of the presence of a representative on behalf of the complainant regarding another complaint against the proposed ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Giri Bahadur Sunar, was also raised in the meeting. The committee discussed the attendance, absence information and response received through email while proceeding with the hearing process on the complaint received against the proposed ambassador.
