Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Chairman of the Labour and Culture Party, Harka Sampang, has made public a 33-point commitment letter. The commitment was made public through a press conference organized at the parliamentary party office in Singha Durbar on Tuesday.

The commitment letter stresses the need to protect the country from foreign interference by maintaining and strengthening non-aligned foreign policy. The party is of the view that it will not be directly or indirectly involved in any treaty, agreement or strategy that is related to MCC, SPP or ‘buffer state’. “We believe that the country should be guided by foreign interference by maintaining and strengthening the non-aligned foreign policy. “We would like to suggest that the MCC and SPP should not be declared to be directly or indirectly linked to the war, such as the buffer state,” he said.

It states that the border should be guarded through regular dialogue with neighbouring countries, inspection and examination system while giving priority to border security. The letter also pledged to guarantee basic amenities to the people living along the border, mobilize the Nepal Army for security if necessary and take initiatives to stop illegal constructions. “Emphasis will be laid on border security, regular consultations with neighbouring countries will be carried out in testing and inspection works, ensuring service and facilities in the border areas connected with all countries, deploying the Nepal Army for security, and stopping and stopping illegal construction works,” reads the commitment.

Similarly, a policy has been put forward to build a self-reliant economy by using its own unique style, modern technology and indigenous resources for physical infrastructure, economic, social, cultural and political development. The government has also pledged to make life easier by controlling the price of daily essentials such as salt, oil, petroleum and energy, and to play the role of intervening role if necessary.

He also urged Home Minister Sudhan Gurung to resign. He said that it would be appropriate for Gurung to pave the way. He also suggested formulating a policy imparting bookish knowledge three days a week, labour, skill and productive practical education four days a week, considering agriculture as the basis of education and industry, ensuring farmers’ access to irrigation, fertilizer and seeds and implementing the ‘one family, one employment’ policy.
