Stating that the vacancy in the constitutional bodies should not be kept for long, he said that the vacancy in the constitutional bodies should not be kept for long.
Raising the issue of cooperative victims, he also pointed out the need for the government to move towards a solution at the earliest. “There should be no delay in providing relief to the victims,” he said. Stating that the government was ready to address the questions raised over the appointments made by the erstwhile government, he said there was no problem in reappointing competent people.
Speaking about the management of landless squatters, Lamichhane said that the process of relocating the people living in vulnerable areas to managed places has been forwarded. “The government has no intention of making anyone homeless,” he said.
“It may be an inconvenience for a couple of days, but this is a necessary process for a long-term solution,” he said. He termed the criticism of the opposition as a political interpretation and said that it is within the rights of the people. He also claimed that the government’s move was within the constitution and legal framework.
Lamichhane also said that he was ready for investigation and transparency and that the questions raised against him should be investigated.
