Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has installed a bulldozer at a seven-storey house at Devi Nagar, Dhobikhola, which was built by encroaching on the roadside. The metropolis had installed a bulldozer at the house on Sunday in a bid to remove unauthorised structures within the municipality area.

The metropolis had started installing dozers on the structures constructed on the river bank at Dhobi Khola in order to remove unauthorized structures within the municipality. In the meantime, a bulldozer has been installed in a seven-storey concrete house in Devinagar.

Earlier, the metropolis had removed the physical structures built by encroaching on the river bank and footpath at Shankhamul. The KMC had already issued a public notice giving a deadline to the concerned parties to voluntarily remove such illegal structures. The move is aimed at maintaining beautification of the city, managing footpaths and protecting public property.
