Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Naresh Lal Shrestha has been elected the vice-president of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI). Shrestha garnered 63 votes to win the election. His nearest rival was Shiva Hari Ghimire who got 60 votes.
Shrestha was elected vice-president from the Hemraj Dhakal group while Ghimire was elected from Anjan Shrestha faction.
It is expected that the future political line and the role of the private sector would be more active with the election of the new leadership of the FNCCI.
