Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Longevity Shrestha has been appointed as the Executive Director of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA). Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Biraj Bhakta Shrestha appointed him to the post on Wednesday.
Shrestha, who was previously the deputy executive director of the Distribution and Customer Service Directorate at NEA, has now been appointed as the managing director of NEA.
Earlier, Hitendra Dev Shakya was appointed as the executive director of the company. Shakya was automatically relieved of his post as per the Special Provision Ordinance on the Removal of Public Officials Ordinance, 2083 BS promulgated by the government.
