Kathmandu. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Nawaraj Adhikari said the police have recommended suspension of driving licenses of 31 drivers for rash and negligent driving.
Speaking at a press conference on Sunday, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Adhikari informed that the transport office has written to the transport office to suspend the driving licenses of 31 drivers for negligent driving.
“We have written to the Transport Office to suspend the driving licenses of 31 drivers for negligent driving this month. The license of those driving negligent driving 15-20 times has been sent for suspension,” he said.
He also informed that various programs have been launched to change the behavior of the traffic police to address the complaints among the road users.
“Changing power, integrated bus park system to control stolen motorcycles and to address the complaints among the road users, to change the behaviour of the traffic police, to end the process of creating chaotic roads by parking in different places, long and medium distance vehicles have been brought into practice only from the bus park,” he said.
He further said that the traffic police have been further strengthened by constructing 37 traffic offices after the agitation on September 23÷24.
