Kathmandu. In the past 24 hours, 2,144 drivers have been taken action for violating traffic rules. A total of Rs 19.95 lakh has been deposited in the state treasury from this.
According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office took action against 91 persons for consuming alcohol, 151 for ride-sharing, 149 for breaching signal lights and 186 for speeding.
Similarly, 102 people for flouting lane discipline, 142 for blowing horn in prohibited areas, 95 for parking vehicles on the pavement, 118 for driving one-way traffic and 1,110 for not following other traffic rules were taken.
