Kathmandu. The 29th meeting of the Educational Human Resources Development Council was held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Minister for Education and Sports Sasmit Pokharel. The meeting also approved three important new in-service training courses for qualitative improvement in the education sector and enhancement of administrative efficiency.
The Council also endorsed the ‘Teacher Trainer Training Course-2083’, ‘Principal Leadership Capacity Development Training Course-2083’ and ‘Gazetted Nepal Education Service Second Class, Third Class and In-Service Training Course-2083’.
The Council, established in accordance with Rule 72 of the Education Regulations 2059, has been working in the areas of capacity development, policy formulation and management of teachers, employees under the ministry and people involved in the education sector.
According to the Ministry, the implementation of the approved new Teacher Trainer Training Curriculum is expected to make the trainings conducted for the professional development of teachers more effective by building the capacity of trainers.
Likewise, the Principal Leadership Capacity Development Training Curriculum is expected to develop competent academic leadership in school education and contribute to enhancing the quality of overall academic and administrative aspects of the school.
The in-service curriculum approved by the Council meeting for the gazetted second-class, third class and technical assistant employees of the education service has set a target to develop the capacity of civil servants of all three levels in line with the spirit of federalism.
The ministry is expected to strengthen people-oriented service delivery and help in result-oriented implementation of various educational programmes.
