Kathmandu. Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East) – The delivery of passports has been started in Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East) through postal service. The District Post Office, Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East) has started the passport delivery service at the doorstep of the service seekers.
According to District Post Office Postal Officer Thaneshwor Sapkota, the provision of delivering passports to the doorsteps of the people through postal services was implemented as per the agreement signed between the District Post Office, Nawalparasi (east of Bardaghat Susta) and the District Administration Office, Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East).
Postal Officer Sapkota said the passport received from the District Administration Office was handed over to Amit Pariyar of Kawasoti-16, Pipreni. The service was started by handing over the passport to Pariyar’s mother Bimala Pariyar with Pariyar’s consent.
Postal Officer Sapkota said the service has been started in a way to reach the doorsteps of the citizens by ending the situation where one has to travel to the district headquarters to collect passport. It is believed that providing the service by delivering the passport issued by the District Administration Office to the doorstep of the concerned person will facilitate the citizens.
“The government has planned to provide some services to the citizens at their doorstep and accordingly we have started the service to deliver the passport at the doorstep, which will add convenience to the service seekers,” Postal Officer Sapkota said.
Bimala Pariyar said that she was happy to receive the passport of her family member at home. “I had to go to the District Administration Office to get the passport by managing the time, it saved time while getting it at home, it also saved the transportation cost while reaching there, it was very convenient,” he said.
Postal Officer Sapkota said that this facility would be extended to Nawalpur as well as in hilly area. “We will deliver the passports received by us at our doorsteps through our offices and employees of the concerned local levels,” he said, adding that the service would facilitate the citizens and further strengthen the people’s trust and credibility towards the postal service.
