Kathmandu. The Ministry of Education and Sports has sought suggestions on the bill designed to amend and integrate technical and vocational training. The bill is being brought to link education and training with skills, labour, employment, production and prosperity by making opportunities for quality technical education and skill development accessible.
According to the Ministry, the bill has been prepared to produce basic, medium and high level technical human resources that can contribute to the social and economic transformation of the country.
The integrated bill proposed to repeal the existing ‘Technical Education and Vocational Training Council Act-2045 BS’ has given the Council the authority to determine curriculum, affiliation and schools as per the requirement of the labour market.
