Salaries of civilian, military, police and teachers to be made ‘respectable’

Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The government has decided to gradually make the perks and perks of civil servants, Nepal Army, police and teachers ‘respectable’. Presenting the budget for the fiscal year 2083/084 on Friday, Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle said that arrangements would be made to revise the salary and facilities of civil servants, army, police and teachers as per the need of the hour.

At the same time, the government has announced to strengthen public institutions. Finance Minister Dr. Yubaraj Khatiwada while delivering the budget speech for the coming fiscal year 2083-84. Swarnim Wagle has given this information.

He also informed that arrangements would be made for disinvestment of government shares.

According to him, the government has proposed to increase the capital of Rastriya Banijya Bank. The shares of National Life Insurance Company and Vishal Bazaar Company will be issued to the general public.
