Kathmandu. Uber, the world’s leading ride-sharing platform, is all set to officially launch its service in Nepal from June 5. On the same day, the company will organize a press conference to inform about its business journey and future plans in Nepal.
Dominic Taylor, Vice President and Regional General Manager of Uber’s Rides APAC, is scheduled to visit Nepal for this special purpose. To strengthen its presence in Nepal, Uber has entered into a strategic partnership with local ride-sharing company ‘Taximundo’.
According to the partnership, Taximando will serve as Uber’s back-office partner in Nepal. With this agreement, drivers who are part of Taximando will now be automatically added to Uber’s network. Earlier, Taximando had provided similar back-office services for another international ride-sharing company, Yango.
