Kathmandu. Police have arrested a ward member in possession of illicit drugs from Gaura Mandir tole at Bhimdatta municipality-18, Katan. According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of District Police Office, Tek Bahadur Rawat, a police team on Saturday arrested Rupa Jairu, a resident of Bhimdutta-18 and a ward member of the same ward.
Police recovered 15 ampoules of promethazine hydrochloride and 15 ampoules of buprenorphine hydrochloride injections hidden in a black plastic bag under his right armpit.
Police said that necessary investigation is underway against Jairu for drug charges.
