Forest Officer Yadav arrested with bribe

Kathmandu. Police have arrested Ramkewal Raya Yadav, chief of Sub-Division Forest Office, Bandipur, on the charge of taking bribe. CIAA Spokesperson Suresh Neupane said that he was arrested after taking Rs 12,000 in bribe from service seekers.

Acting on a special tip-off and complaint, a team deputed from the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) in Bardibas arrested Yadav on the charge of taking bribe from service seekers.

According to the CIAA, Yadav had demanded bribe from service recipients while returning the file along with the documents by verifying whether the timber brought for the Siraha industry was as per the sealed order.

The CIAA team also confiscated Rs 133,120 from Yadav. The team has arrested Yadav while he was on his way to Bandipur from Mirchauya in Karjanha Municipality-4 today.
