Kathmandu. In today’s meeting of the House of Representatives, the main opposition parties continued their protest demanding a clear answer from the government on the border dispute. Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal gave time to one member of the opposition party to put forth brief views after the lawmakers of the main opposition parties stood up from their seats immediately after the commencement of the meeting.

Harina Devi Kami of the Nepali Congress (NC) had said that Prime Minister Balendra Shah had told the House of Representatives on Jestha 17, “Nepal has also encroached on India’s land.” Objecting to such remarks, he demanded that the Prime Minister should give a clear answer and remove the statement from the parliament record.

Speaker Aryal gave time to all the opposition parties to speak after lawmakers of other opposition parties also sought time to speak.

Similarly, Yashuda Kumari Baral of the CPN (UML) drew the attention of the government for not heeding the issues raised by the opposition time and again.

Bhim Kumar Budha Magar of the same party demanded that the Prime Minister correct his statement that he is linked with nationality at a time when Nepali people are committed to protecting their land.

Similarly, Purna Prasad Limbu of the Labour and Culture Party questioned the remark made by the Prime Minister while Khusbu Oli of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party demanded that the ruling party make its clear view on the issue.
