Kathmandu. Minister for Agriculture, Forest and Environment Gita Chaudhary has directed all departments and bodies under the Ministry to carry out result-oriented works so that youths can directly feel it. During a meeting held at the Ministry with the chiefs of various departments and bodies under the Ministry including Nepal Agricultural Research Council (NARC), Dairy Development Corporation, Herbs Production and Processing Company Limited, Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Minister Chaudhary said the incumbent government has high expectation especially from the younger generation.
He also directed all the departments and bodies under the Ministry to prepare a realistic report about the number of youths who could be included in the job, remuneration and internship and volunteer programmes within this month and submit it to the Ministry.
“We should work in such a way that the results are visible as per the expectations of the younger generation. All the bodies under the ministry should present a clear plan within this month as to how many youths can be employed, remunerated, internship and volunteering,” he directed.
Minister Chaudhary also urged the youths to work in an implementation-oriented and result-oriented manner and stressed the need of developing agriculture, forestry and environment as attractive employment sectors. She directed the department heads to conduct the programme by prioritizing the new graduates and youths who have returned home from abroad.
During the discussion, the department chiefs informed that internships and volunteer programs with and without remuneration are being run through their offices across the country.
